The Stephen ministry program equips lay people for a caring ministry with a Christian focus in and around their congregations. Care may be for one who is grieving, having health, family, job problems, or other difficulties. Stephen Ministers bring a gift of listening and spiritual encouragement. The purpose of MOPS International is to nurture every mother of preschoolers by meeting her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. The MOPS group usually meets each 1st and 3rd Friday of the month during the school year All mothers in the community with infants - Kindergarten age children are invited to attend the meetings in the fellowship hall of the church. The Rooms To Grow Preschool ministry provides an educational (using A Beka material), spiritual, and recreational program for children 2 to kindergarten age. A 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day program is licensed by the State of Florida and seeks to maintain the highest education standards within a loving Christian environment. Community Pastoral Counseling
First Presbyterian Church of Perry is please to announce the offering of pastoral counseling services to the congregation and community. The Rev. Dr. Robert R. Lutz, recently moved to Perry and holds a Ph.D. in pastoral counseling. He is available for individual and couples sessions.
Dr. Lutz, is an ordained Lutheran pastor (ELCA) and also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Perry. Dr. Lutz is a National Certified Counselor and Diplomate in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He has practiced as a pastoral counselor since 1984.
Dr. Lutz can be reached by calling (850) 843-3083. You can leave a confidential message with a return phone number and he will return your call promptly. Sessions take place at First Presbyterian Church. Fees are negotiated on a sliding scale.
