Engaging the World through EVANGELISM
Health teams have been visiting Jamaica through the Mutual Missions Program of St. Augustine Presbytery since 1991. This year will mark the 17th trip of the team that has gone to offer medical and dental services to the needy people of rural Jamaica. First Presbyterian Church of Perry has been very generous in supporting the Medical teams in their endeavors over the years. The Church has sponsored persons going on the trip, both from the church and others. Each year we contribute to the cost of the medicines that are donated to the Jamaican people. Bob Bell, Registered Pharmacist will represent First Presbyterian Church as part of the team.

What our Partners in Ministry are saying...
Dear Larry:
Thank you and the congregation of First Presbyterian Church for the recent gift in support of the ministry here at Thornwell Home! Your thoughtfulness encourages and sustains our children and staff in so many ways. June is a time of transitions at Thornwell. We bid farewell to some of our children who have been here for several years. Three will be adopted, while others will rejoin their families. We welcome new children in June. A sibling group of five, a sister rejoining her brothers, and many more children will find a place of hope and wholeness at Thornwell. We thank you First Presbyterian Church for being part of the journey of all the children at Thornwell.
Sincerely,
Charles D. Elliott
Assistant Vice President for Development and Church Relations
(Note: The Thornwell Home for Children in Clinton, South Carolina, has been taking care of children and youth in need since its founding on October 1, 1875.¬ Our church has been a long time supporter of Thornwell’s ministry)
